tmz.com is reporting Michael Jackson has died. CNN is saying he's in a coma.

Anyone got any news?

... but I still have no clue what is going on. Watching 24 is like watching Lost. Miss a single episode and you're screwed for the season. The season premiere of the latter had my sister pausing every ten minutes or so to explain things to me. I really need to watch the box sets we own since I do enjoy the characters and I find the mythology so much more interesting than what Heroes has become.

Onto other news, I've updated Obsidian, my dark side Isabel fic. [info]freneticfloetry  really outdid herself this time as my beta. Thanks babes.

And for those in the know, I go for another round of X-rays on wednesday. I'm hoping this is it, since the damn anti-inflammatory pills the doc gave me really are doing squat for the pain. So as long as the pics show cracked ribs and nothing else, my vacay is a go. I'm heading to SC in a week and a half (soexcitedsoexcitedsoexcitedsoexcited) of course I have a ton of hours at both jobs to help pay for things and also because the powers that be need in the days before Valentine's.

Today was the worst its been pain wise so far, so it has got to be getting better soon.

Title
: Obsidian
Fandom: Roswell
Genre: Future Fic, AU
Rating: Mature Adult. There will be (eventually) strong language, character death, sex and violence. If you don't like this kinda thing, then don't read it.
Warnings: This is dark people. That’s all I have to say.
Disclaimer: Nothing of Roswell ~ the books or the tv show ~ are my own, they belong to Katims and Metz and the like
Beta: The fab mad poet herself, [info]freneticfloetry . Thanks babes.
Summary: Imagine for a moment that a lifetime ago Vilondra really did betray Zan, Ava and Rath, and not just for the love of a man, but for her own thirst for power. And what would happen if that man, Khivar, woke her from her slumber, now, inside Isabel and waited patiently for her to strike?

I've played so many parts, and worn such different faces. )

*since the PA has had so many issues, i figured I'd start posting here on the LJ.

So I'm watching The Faculty for the umpteenth time again, since my body still feels too shitty to head out to the party. Not a huge loss, since its just the regular crowd and my BFF is pulling her usual crap of not calling me until she needs something but what evs. I bought some flicks, ordered in some food and just feel like putting my feet up. My sis and I shopped today, trying to get some last minute bargains ~ not that much is left since most stores are pretty picked over.

Watching this flick always puts me in a good mood. I saw it in the theater as a teen with some friends and fell in love with Teh Hartnett and the car he drove. Must've been getting me ready for the Winchester boys which made me think, Zeke so had to grow up and become a hunter. He's got the car, the loner attitude, he can handle guns and it's not like his parents were around or were likely to believe his stories about the invasion. I think someone has to write me a crossover with the Supernatural 'verse and Zeke all grown up, still driving that car.

Any takers?

Oh and Happy New Year. Have a drink for me since I can't, and have an amazing and safe night out.

I RAMBLE.

Mainly about (right now) my show.

SPOILERS for the gloriousness that is SPN )

In other more random and more slight life update likes, my sis brought home the most adorable kitten who I have named Frank. My reasoning's behind it are rather simple; he just looks like a Frank. My poor cat is having a frakking conniption.

Work is a madhouse as I have been given responsibility and I really didn't want it. Thank god its for 4 days since if I hear one more whiny customer I may kill someone. I'm tired, hyped up on too much caffeine and I suddenly want peanut butter. And my so called "Chocolate Brown" nail polish just looks like dried blood.

What a week.

So the awesomesauce-like:

[info]miniglik  and I were chatting tonight about the usual: life, SGA, blah, naked Shep, Farscape, etc. The normal fandom rituals. And there was wine involved. Then I had a great idea that someone has certainly had before:

Who are the top 5 fictional characters you would f$^# after the vino?? Can be ANYONE, from books to movies, etc.

1.  Dr. Rodney McKay ~

And not just because he's Canadian. Mckay may be a bit of a whiner and he may bitch more than most men should ~ but if anyone he loves is in  harm's way, he'd devise some cool techo plan to save the day. Receeding hairline be damned, I still wanna kiss him.

2. Ashton Kutcher ~

I'm sorry. But he screams moron. But he looks good doing it. He wants to buy me lots of beer ~ he gets me nekkid.

3. Spike ~

Because Marsters is kinda homely. BUT, blond, sexy, BRIT Marsters makes me all crazy like.

4. Riggins ~

He's oh, so sexy, but so in love with Garrity it hurts. Plus, since W.W.R.D. is a common mention, who knows what diseases my fav boy has??

5.  Evil!Sammy ~

It's not right, but it's okay. Whit had it right. Dark little brother can kill me with a glance, but I'd never not love him for it.

Y'all better tell me your secrets.

RUNNER UP:

Derek Reese ~

Scars inside and out alone. It'd be a DAAAAAAMMNN good time.

Have spent all day in bed trying to keep from vomiting.

It's all Court's fault. She mentioned wine and then I decided to have some rum and dear god the agony.

It hurts EVERYWHERE.

And I'm sitting in the dark since all the lights are out for Earth Hour. Which helps the head ache but I can't see where the hell my bed is that I want to crawl back into.

Good times though last night with the AIM convo with [info]freneticfloetry and [info]miniglik  who is a riot. Earlier Dad's 50th b-day clebration was great and after my sis, her BF and I headed out to Heroes for a quick drink. Apparently my Mom thinks the wedding bells will be ringing with in the year so I need to my expanding arse on the tread mill. And I am still smoke free.

Uggh. Back to bed.

The thing to do:

Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line (unless the first line reveals the song title) from the first 30 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Strike through the songs when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!

So in other news... saw Juno. Loved it. Ellen Page is beyond wonderful. Alison Janney was great as was Jennifer Garner. The soundtrack is awesome go and get it if you don't already have it, and I loved the dialogue. Diablo Cody is so awesomesauce.

So my lovely flisters... I hope all is well in the land.

Work of course, this time of year, is absolutely MAD and people are wearing my Christmas Spirit short. I'm turning into a cross between Bill Murray in Scrooged and Chevy Chase at the end of the Griswold's (the Winstanley Family's Christmas movie of choice) when he has that awesome freak out.

So I'm sorta crazy.

But what else is new??

I'm this close to having my holiday shopping finished, the fam and the extended fam are taken care of ~ excluding my poor Grandfather.  I bought him some chocolate covered ginger from Laura Secord and my idiotic dog ate the whole box, wrapping and all. Stupid bugger was fine, even though the previous day he'd inhaled my chocolate Bailey's balls. So he's had a good buzz and probably nearly given himself a heart attack, but he's a black lab and pretty resilient. Needless to say, the tree is now barricaded. Which ruins the effect, but if he eats one more present (he also decided to eat some bottles of body wash and a few scented candles ~ bright boy my dog is) my mother will have a coronary.

And I got Von some champagne but cannot find some funky glasses to go with it. My hometown has no Homesense or Pier 1 so I'm limited in places to look. I just may pick up the ever classy and practical shot glass version of snakes and ladders. The gift that keeps on giving.

Today is I believe day 9 of 13 in a row. Believe me when I say, I am reheeallly looking forward to sleeping in Christmas morn, since the night before I'll be up until heaven knows what time wrapping all my gifts. But its sorta tradition, I get really buzzed on vino and write sloppy and sentimental notes on the tags of the presents. I think people expect it of me by now.

I wish y'all a very happy, amazing, memory-making and safe holiday. Spend it with those you love, eat that extra piece of pie and kiss someone under the mistletoe.

... am watching The Faculty for the millionth time in honour of Halloween and I'm wondering; is it wrong of me to still find teh Hartnett hot when he's all wet and fighting Jon Stewart with the blade from the paper cutter?? And that he has that orgasmic car???

Ya, my life is pretty boring lately.

Work sucks and I need a vacay.

I still so love Clea Duvall in this. Think Heroes will bring her back??

Ok y'all. Obviously I've gone FNL on you. But with good reason.

Seriously folks, Katims aside, Friday Night Lights is THE SHOW to watch. And with good reason. Football is not my sport of choice (hello, hockey is) but you don't watch the show for that, you watch for the fucking dead on relationships. I bought S1 after vaguely remembering the Pilot and have NOT regretted it.

Onto the other shit:

Apologies first. I am waaayyy behind on replying to my Flist's entries. So I suck guys. I will get caught up as soon as the crazy job scenario calms.

Seconds, I am way behind on the feedback to all the fantastic updates you all have given as awesomest presents for my nearing b-day. *LURRVES TO ALL*. Especially when [info]darkvixen1979 and [info]theotherwillow have been so wicked cool with the new chapters (and yes Wills it was me and Tams that nic'd you "witchy woman" ~ fear the drunken fun we two can have).

So I am supposed to be finishing up those sentences and maybe working on [info]ladygloria 's way belated b-day ficcage.

But of course, Obsidian has my interest again, so I decide to make a Lonnie icon for inspiration. Which of course wastes way more time and prevents me from actually doing anything remotely productive fandom wise.

But I also am really sleepy since Vron and Christine were over last night and like the morons Von and I are, we decided that beer + movies = 4 AM bed time.

I was hoping some of my flisters were around in the day, but you all have jobs. Or lives. Or what not.

So I just decided to comment like whoa. Have fun there guys.
